Hi, I'm Puppiii!

I'm a Chinese/Cambodian artist in Australia who loves colourful things. I'm the creator of the webtoon Unconscious "Nightmare", as well as a game developer and creative director of my own indie game studio! Thanks for visiting my profile!

Yin Todd and Yang Ai are childhood friends who woke up in the vibrant world of Misuteria together. However, they view this mystery as escapism from their bitter lives on Earth, leaving the two unaware of the darker stories that lie hidden, including secrets their new friends desperately try to hide behind their lies. Whether they benefit more from this world or find their desire to leave, chaos and their guilt-tainted 'friendship' may still lead the two towards more anguish and peril.~~~This is my main webtoon, and my first, ever!! I've been working on this since I was 13/14 :) I appreciate everyone heaps for giving it a read! It updates once every two weeks on Saturday, 10am AEST. Please check out the official website for in-depth information!

GIJINKA UNIVERSES

I've mentioned somewhere that I like trains and space... I have separate universes for these characters. Feel free to click on these links if you're interested in knowing more!

OSOMATSU & THE ENDLESS DREAM GAME (COMING SOON)

After suffering the same nightmares over and over, Osomatsu makes a selfish wish in a dream and must now suffer the consequences. In a win-or-lose situation within the hundreds of games his Dream Demon puts him through, will his wish ever be granted, or will the opposite come true?~~~
This comic is still in the works and will be posted on platforms like Fanon, Tapas, Twitter, and Tumblr! For now, you can click the link below to learn more about my AU! You can also view my Twitter for any updates.

★ ABOUT ME!!!

Hey, I'm Puppiii! I am a game designer with a passion for space. My background is Cambodian and Chinese, although I was born in Australia. I'm the creator of the Webtoon 'Unconscious "Nightmare" ' on Webtoon Canvas, and it has been a longtime passion project since I was 14. Although life has gotten significantly busier with more projects and opportunities begging for my attention, I have been trying to find a nice time to continue working on new episodes. It has been one of the best projects and experience of my life as an artist, and I'd hate to drop it completely, regardless of how busy life gets. I deeply appreciate everyone's patience and support throughout the years, and I'm excited to show more of my work!I currently major in Geosciences with a focus on planetary science, with some astrophysics on the side. :) My dream is to do research on celestial objects within our Solar System and beyond, with some astrobiology if needed! I am especially interested in researching more on our Ice Giants - Uranus and Neptune, and using this knowledge to better understand Mini Neptunes in exoplanetary research, vice versa. Mini Neptunes are the most common type of planet discovered outside of our Solar System, so one day I hope to read more papers on this cool category of planets and learn more on top of my studies!Meanwhile, I am also currently directing my own indie games team, Studio Synespace, where we are developing a third-person psychological horror adventure game called 'VEIN'. Though outside of that big project, we do enjoy making some other cool space games along the way. <3Outside of art, I sometimes play games (although I wouldn't call myself a gamer, despite making games myself lol), though they tend to be rhythm games or something simple like Stardew Valley. I do like some co-op games, too. I also read sometimes, I don't have many book recommendations since I tend to read more non-fiction than fiction, but I absolutely LOVE the Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness! Hugely recommend this trilogy for anyone interested in dystopian kind of stories. I think the writing and characters are wonderful... I even got these books signed by Patrick Ness himself and got a picture! I wish I didn't look so chopped and nervous on that night though, lol. Some other books I recommend (non-fiction) are 'The Planets' with Professor Brian Cox, it's a beautiful introduction to the solar system with incredible pictures and diagrams. Speaking of, 'The Complete Book of Spacecrafts' was also a wonderful read. Full of images and diagrams, I totally recommend this for space craft enthusiasts. I think they're great references too for art and 3D modelling. I've also enjoyed reading 'Until the End of Time' by Brian Greene. I think it's pretty philosophical and it's been a while since I've last read it, but it was a cozy read on the way back home on the train after a long day. 'Galaxies, Structures, and Evolution' by R.J. Taylor was cool to read, it's more astrophysics than anything but it's really nice for anyone interested in astrophysics. I still have plans to read 'The Little Book of Exoplanets' and my other hoard of astronomy books I've impulse bought at the book store, so honestly take some of these reccs with a grain of salt because I'm still in the middle of reading some (I switch to different books very easily).Anyways, I've also recently gotten into crochet thanks to some friends. I used to crochet when I was younger but I had no idea what I was doing, so picking it back up now still leaves me as a complete beginner. All I want to make is a gazillion Uranus and Neptune plushies though. I used to play the Violin too (and Kalimba), but I don't think I have the funds and time to pick up lessons again.I think I've written enough, I don't know what else to say, so I'll just list down some general and fandom interests!

★ MY SONA!!

This is my sona/mascot, Ass, but her name has been changed to 'Pipi'!
She's usually drawn as a harp seal with a white detachable collar, but she has different versions too which I'll share below. She ages around the same time as me, so any age written down will be outdated.
Although I admit I love Guinea Pigs more, I've represented myself as a Harp Seal since 2019 for a school assignment and it just stuck with me ever since, haha. She doesn't really have any lore as she's just a mascot to represent me.However, now that she has a new design with spacey features, I'm thinking she is a huge celestial being who can manipulate her size with her ring! She can also alternate between a guinea pig or a seal.

★ SOLAR SYSTEM OCs

These characters are based on the celestial bodies of our Solar System! These bodies are representations or "souls" of their planetary counterpart, meaning they are free to leave their orbit and interact with each other as they wish, as long as their real planetary body remains in orbit.I have yet to design the Sun, larger moon bodies, and our fellow Dwarf Planets.Although unrelated (universe-wise), I have included further below my Solarballs designs. That show was a big inspiration in personifying some of these characters afterall.

★ METRO TRAIN OCs

No one knows how they came to be, nor can they be seen, heard, or felt, but their presence sparks a common question: "are these trains alive?"They're not exactly human, but their influence runs deep, going as far as manifesting into the way these humanoid train figures look and behave.

~~~Trains work the same as they do in Victoria, Australia, and there’s a primary focus on the main Metro trains (Comeng EDI + Alstom, Siemens Nexas, HCMT, and the X’trapolis 100), but will also include the regional trains at some point. It’s mostly a slice of life about what these trains do during and after service, including the Comeng's retirement after the incoming
X'trap 2.0 fleet.
These humanoids are like “leaders” of their own fleet - they run and control the railway system and are responsible for anything that results from it. It's unknown how they came to be, but no living being can see or hear them, but "sense" their presence as if these trains are alive. In the most simplest sense, they are like the “gods” of their train system/fleet, meaning they can see, hear, and feel everything their trains experience during service.These trains assume they must've "manifested" from their own service, their personalities and appearance resembling humans as if they were a manifested amalgamation of their passengers' humanity. This results in these trains often peeking at human activities and mimicking their behaviour, leaving them lost on their own identities and craving that familiar sense of connection, too. However, despite resembling humans and some human traits (slowly), they are not made out of fleshy parts, but metal, plastic, and whatever else goes into making trains. Their systems also tend to heat up and they spill oil if they get into rough fights, leaving to system failures on their current trains during service. If one of their trains in service experiences a failure or a kind of vandalism, it also affects their bodies unless they get their trains fixed by humans.* Anything that happens to these humanoids affects any of their trains during service.
★ OSOMATSU & THE ENDLESS DREAM GAME
Osomatsu & the Endless Dream Game (also known as ENDG for short) was originally an Osomatsu-San fanfic that is now being revamped and rewritten into a fancomic! All characters belong to Fujio Akatsuka and Studio Pierrot. The only character that belongs to me is my fan-character, Eriko, who plays a large role in this story alongside Osomatsu. This comic will be available to read on Fanon, Tapas, Twitter and Tumblr (maybe).ABOUT:
This story is about Matsuno Osomatsu who suffers from recurring nightmares, encounters a Dream Demon named Eriko and makes a wish to end these dreams and live a happy life alongside his brothers. Unfortunately, there is a twist to his wish where his Dream Demon puts him through countless of dreams known as 'games', where his brothers' lives are threatened each time and the eldest has to save them before it's too late. Osomatsu has to win these games at least 10 times in a row to defeat Eriko and grant that wish, otherwise Eriko will finally get a taste of what the real world is really like.
!!! WARNINGS !!!
Since these characters are based off of fan interpretations, headcanons, etc, there may be some mischaracterisation here and there... But this story mainly focuses on Matsuno Osomatsu, his character, and his psychology or what I can understand from it. This story will NOT involve any romance between characters besides the sextuplet's canon feelings with Totoko Yowai and/or Hashimoto Nyaa. There may be romantic implications in some dreams as a 'theme', but they mean nothing to the relationship at the end of the day.Additionally, this story is Umineko inspired and so will have:- Major/Minor character death
- Blood and Gore/Torture
- Disturbing themes and imagery
- A ton of angst most likely
DO NOT READ ENDG (this story) If you do not want to see your favourite characters die in various ways (even if they only happen in Osomatsu's dreams). This story is just made for fun and analysis.I don't know if this needs to be said too, but this story will contain hurt/comfort elements but ABSOLUTELY NOT BLmatsu.
★ OSOMATSU AND ERIKO (The Player vs the Host):
Osomatsu meets Eriko in a dream after suffering the similar nightmare every few nights. Eriko approaches him with an offer to end these dreams for good and all it takes is one wish. Unfortunately for Oso, his wish twists the rest of his incoming dreams and basically leaves himself at square one except he has the chance to change its outcome.
Eriko is Osomatsu's Dream Demon who shares the same age range. It is a genderless entity/manifestation who enters the dreams of people with recurring nightmares. If Osomatsu loses 15 games in a row, Eriko is granted more power as a demon and can possess Osomatsu temporarily and do as they wish. On the other hand, if Osomatsu wins 10 games in a row where he successfully saves his brothers, he is freed from his nightmares and lives happily and eternally alongside his brothers as he originally wished.After each loss on Osomatsu's end, Eriko has to kill Osomatsu to 'wake him up', and each death is as brutal (if not more) as the deaths of his brothers in his dreams. This causes Osomatsu to wake up often bleeding and he usually doesn't process the whole dream until later in the day. However when Osomatsu wins, Eriko is left starving as he has to rely on Osomatsu to live as he's their source of food at the end of the game.
★ OSOMATSU AND ERIKO'S DYNAMICS:
Osomatsu and Eriko share a 'frienemy' dynamic. Although I sometimes draw them in intimate scenarios, these two don't share any romantic feelings with each other at all. Eventually they do grow a mutual codependence (a one-sided 'obsession' on Eriko's part) and suffer together in these endless games they trapped themselves in. During intermission states (where no games are running or Osomatsu takes a nap), the two take the time to know each other. The two develop an interest in each other as they later realise they share more similar obstacles than they thought.
Eriko after having been put through multiple games with other players who have all been negative, Osomatsu so far has been the most engaging and fun and eventually grows jealous of his life and wants everything Osomatsu gives and receives. Despite caring for Osomatsu in some way, Eriko doesn't feel bad over killing Osomatsu as he sees his players as 'food', but with Osomatsu specifically they also view him as a 'friend'. Osomatsu was also the first player to suffer over 60 games with Eriko, as previous players gave up early or 'broke', allowing Eriko an easy win. Unfortunately for him, Osomatsu never gives up and returns back to the dream world the same as he was before.Since Eriko lives in Osomatsu's head, he can read, hear, and see all of what Osomatsu's thinking. It often gets on his nerves as Oso's thoughts tend to ramble and inch towards scary territory.
★ MATSUNO SEXTUPLETS:
As the description says on the image, they're about the same. However they grow skeptical of their eldest when he's caught waking up bloody and how the bags on his eyes slowly develop. Karamatsu and Ichimatsu specifically have an idea on what's truly going on but they can't pinpoint it no matter how hard they try, and it's especially hard when their eldest pushes all of them away. The brothers aren't as naive as Osomatsu thinks.
In Osomatsu's dreams, his brothers can act "out of character" as it's how he views them in his head and he doesn't know his brothers as well as he thinks. When Eriko enters his dreams, they can see how much love and warmth is felt in Osomatsu, which was something Eriko hasn't experienced before in this job.
★ THE DREAM WORLD
The Dreamworld, also known as the Gameroom or the Dream Lobby is where the games/dreams take place within Osomatsu's head. It's usually described with a checkered floor within a purple void. At some parts it almost looks like they're in a 'cage'. Osomatsu's mind originally was really cluttered as it made him feel less lonely, but after Eriko invaded his dreams, they cleaned it up into something more 'practical'.In front of the two would be a screen of the dream that any of the two can warp themselves in to control their roles in the game. Osomatsu's role is to save and protect his brothers from harm, whereas Eriko's is to inflict harm and trouble onto everyone. However, the basic rule of the game is dream!Osomatsu and Eriko do not know each other in that world, nor do they know about the games.Everything relies on Osomatsu's instinct and perception.Eriko can insert themselves into the dream/game as any character including themselves, and can alter their appearance in height and gender in any dream.The rules for the player are very straight forward and simple; they do not know of Eriko and the games in these dreams and they cannot touch their demon if they don't 'believe' in their existence/influence.For Eriko, he is not allowed to physically harm or kill the player outside of the games if no win/loss has been announced. Doing so would 'kill' the Demon, which they will wake up/revive after their player returns back for the next game. Eriko is also not allowed to feast until the games are over. Each loss from the player's end becomes Eriko's meal, and his punishment for losing would be no food until he wins the next game.
